About Us & Contact Details
Saint Scale is very small business and every single order is so very much appreciated.

I started Saint Scale in April 2023, I couldn't find a OO Gauge Bench I liked the look of so I set about modelling my own. I quickly started noticing more Railway items on my commute & in daily life and soon found that I really did love the research, revisions and overall process of creating something to be proud of. When I received my 260th 5 x Star Ebay Review in a row I had even more drive to create than ever before.
Combined with a desire to get outside more, I began enjoying the 16mm Garden Gauge Live Steam section of my local modelling club. After purchasing my live steam Loco 'Katie' made by Roundhouse, I knew I had to size up my models and start making rolling stock to be proud of,

I've worked on Saint Scale on a daily basis alongside work for more than a year now and after learning how to Lathe, Laser cut & engrave, manage inventory & setup a website. I'm proud to launch the new side of Saint Scale: Garden Railway Rolling Stock. You can also find us on Ebay by clicking here

In the near future I plan to venture into Gauge 1 Rolling Stock..... for more regular updates on what we are working on or to learn more about the process of how I created these items please checkout my 'Blog & Current projects' section of this website.

FAQ's
Some of the questions we've been asked & are keen to answer!

Do you make all the models yourself?
- Yes! We're proud to say that all of our Design & Production is done in-house, we use a mix of historical technical drawings, site visit photos, YouTube research and add a bit of creativity to make our models standout from the crowd, look outstanding and help add joy. We only run our own rolling stock on our days off running Live Steam at the local club. So it helps to have something to be proud of!

What's your process involved when creating a product?
In short: These items go through a lot of consideration to make sure we'd be proud to offer them.

For rolling stock:
Deciding on our idea > Finding a suitable prototype > Researching the chosen item > Scaling down measurements and Pencil drawings/sketches > 3D CAD Modelling version 1 onwards > Test 3d Print > Test cuts/engraving on our Laser > Lathing any metal parts > Test run of Version 1 > Getting friends opinions > Making required changes > Testing again. Then once we're happy with how the item looks and performs on the track we decide on packaging & list it on our website.

What machines do you have?
We have built up a collection of 2 x Large Resin 3d Printers, 1 x Laser cutter, 1 x Metal Lathe, 1 x Curing station. But are always researching new machines and that they could help achieve for our product range/product features

Do you offer open days on your own garden track?
Sadly we don't have our own track yet :( We are moving property soon so are currently just using our local two clubs in Hertfordshire. We hope in a year or so to have our own Garden layout & look forward to getting to create our very own layout. But the focus currently is about expanding the product range and testing new ideas in the meantime.
